Sunset Magic with Maverick at Frank Liske Park
There’s something truly special about capturing photos during the golden hour, especially when the subject is as photogenic as Maverick, a charming Husky-Golden Retriever mix. This session was shot around sunset, my absolute favorite time for photography. The soft, warm light adds a magical touch to every shot, and Maverick’s session was no exception.
We chose Frank Liske Park in Concord, which just so happens to be my favorite location for pet photography. This park offers so many diverse and beautiful spots for photos, from wooded trails to open fields, and even peaceful water views. It’s the perfect setting for dogs like Maverick who might get easily distracted, as it’s quiet and serene, allowing them to focus more on their session without too many distractions.
Maverick was an absolute star from start to finish. He was such a good boy, showing off all his little tricks for the camera, and his playful energy was contagious. It was a joy to capture his personality and the bond he shares with his owner. Watching him sit, stay, and perform his tricks with such enthusiasm made for some truly memorable shots.
This session was one of those where everything just clicked perfectly—the location, the lighting, and of course, Maverick’s charming personality.
