Not every great walk with your dog needs to be rugged and steep. Whether you're caring for a senior pup, pushing a stroller, or using a wheelchair, these accessible, low-impact trails across NC are beautiful, dog-friendly, and easy to enjoy.

🐾 1. Little Sugar Creek Greenway – Charlotte

A smooth, paved trail with water views, shade, and plenty of benches. It connects to several dog-friendly patios and works well for pups who tire easily.

🐾 2. Reynolda Gardens – Winston-Salem

Flat paths, gardens, and historic scenery make this a relaxing stroll. Leashed dogs are welcome, and the atmosphere is quiet and calm.

🐾 3. Tanglewood Park – Clemmons, NC

A beautiful spot for both walking and resting. Paved trails loop around ponds and through open fields—ideal for low-energy or older dogs.

🐾 4. McAlpine Creek Park – Charlotte

While some trails are dirt-packed, the main greenway is flat and smooth. Plenty of shaded areas and a large open field perfect for slow-paced walks and senior portraits.
