Golden Hour Magic with Stevie and Lizzie

Golden hour was absolutely beautiful for this session with Stevie and her horse, Lizzie. It’s my favorite time to photograph because the lighting is just perfect—soft, warm, and incredibly flattering. But the true star of the session was Lizzie, who was on her best behavior and gave us all the good poses!

I love capturing a more candid look, where the true, raw emotions of the moment shine through. There’s something so special about those unposed moments that make the images feel more authentic and meaningful. It’s the little looks, the gentle touches, and the unspoken bond between Stevie and Lizzie that really tell their story.

Of course, I also like to mix in some posed shots to balance things out, ensuring that we capture a variety of beautiful memories. But in my opinion, those candid moments are where the magic really happens—they make the images come alive and bring out the true essence of the relationship between horse and rider.

It was a joy to spend the evening with Stevie and Lizzie, and I’m so thrilled with how the photos turned out. This session was a perfect blend of light, emotion, and connection, and I’m grateful to have been a part of capturing these moments.
