A Heartfelt End-of-Life Session with Amanda and Oakley at Frank Liske Park
This session was one of the most beautiful and touching experiences I've had the honor of capturing. Amanda, the loving owner of Oakley, reached out to me a few weeks ago with heartbreaking news: Oakley had been diagnosed with an aggressive, fast-growing cancer. Initially, they hoped they would have months together, but it soon became clear that they would be lucky to have a few more weeks. Amanda expressed her deep desire to capture candid moments with her sweet girl, Oakley, as they cherished their remaining time together.
We met at Frank Liske Park in Concord, a place that perfectly suited the quiet and serene atmosphere needed for such a session. The session was scheduled at sunset, which bathed the park in a golden, fairy-tale-like light—exactly the look Amanda and I envisioned. As we moved through the park, we captured a mix of posed shots and those that reflected the raw, unfiltered emotion between Amanda and Oakley. The love and bond they share was evident in every candid moment, creating images that will serve as a beautiful reminder of their time together.
The connection between Amanda and Oakley was truly amazing to witness and capture. Each photo tells the story of a deep, unspoken bond that has grown over the years. The quiet moments, the shared glances, and the gentle touches all reflected the profound love and care they have for one another.
If you're considering an end-of-life session for your beloved pet, I highly recommend Frank Liske Park. Its peaceful setting provides the perfect backdrop for capturing the special bond between you and your best friend, offering a space where you can focus on each other without distractions.
This session with Amanda and Oakley was a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment with our pets. It was a privilege to be part of this special time, and I'm grateful to have been able to create lasting memories for Amanda and Oakley.
