You just wrapped up your pet photography session—your pup was a total star, you’re glowing from golden hour, and now you want to keep the good vibes going. What better way to celebrate than with a treat and a little extra time together?

Whether you’re looking for a coffee, cocktail, or casual bite, Charlotte and the surrounding areas are full of dog-friendly spots where your four-legged sidekick is more than welcome. Here are some of my favorite patios and cafes to check out after your photo session.

☕ 1. Not Just Coffee – Dilworth & Atherton Mill

Locations: Dilworth | South End (Atherton Mill)

Why It’s Great: A Charlotte staple with outdoor seating, killer coffee, and a low-key vibe. The South End location is steps away from the Rail Trail, which makes it perfect for a post-session stroll.

Pro Tip: Their honey lavender latte is a must-try, and their outdoor seating is usually shaded.

🍻 2. Skiptown – South End

Location: 222 Rampart St, Charlotte, NC

Why It’s Great: It’s not just dog-friendly—it’s built for dogs. With an indoor/outdoor dog park, full bar, and staff who are all about the pups, this is a go-to spot for dog lovers in the city.

Perfect For: High-energy dogs who still have zoomies after their session.

🐾 3. Lucky Dog Bark & Brew – Charlotte & Cornelius

Locations: Charlotte | Cornelius

Why It’s Great: A sports-bar-meets-dog-park setup with an off-leash indoor/outdoor area and full bar for humans. Great for social dogs and social owners.

Bonus: It’s 21+ only, so no kids—but lots of dogs!

🥐 4. Amélie’s French Bakery – NoDa

Location: 136 E 36th St, Charlotte, NC

Why It’s Great: Outdoor seating, delicious pastries, and one of the most iconic cafes in the city. The NoDa location is artsy, relaxed, and full of color—great for a few bonus snapshots.

Try This: Salted caramel brownie or a seasonal macaron.

🌳 5. Fahrenheit – Uptown Rooftop

Location: 222 S Caldwell St, Charlotte, NC

Why It’s Great: Looking for something a little more upscale after a city photo session? Fahrenheit has a gorgeous rooftop with dog-friendly outdoor space and views of the Charlotte skyline.

Note: Call ahead—dog policies can vary during events.

🧊 6. Summit Coffee – Davidson

Location: 128 S Main St, Davidson, NC

Why It’s Great: If you're coming from a session in Huntersville or Lake Norman, this is a cozy college-town café with a laid-back patio. They often have live music and seasonal drinks, and pups are always welcome outside.

Best For: Calm, quiet pups and chill post-session vibes.

📸 Bonus: Make It a Full Experience

A coffee date or patio hangout is the perfect way to wind down after a session. I always recommend bringing a portable water bowl, a few extra treats, and even a blanket if you want to sit on the grass somewhere nearby.

If you’re booking a session with me, and want to end at one of these spots, let me know—I’m always happy to recommend a stop that fits your location and vibe.
